The Red Wine Callejo Magnum belongs to the vineyards owned by the family Callejo. 100% Tempranillo with clay-calcareous soils and belongs to the O.D. Ribera del Duero.

The winter of 2013 highlighted by the presence of numerous precipitation as snow in the months of January and February, which is normal in recent years. Then March was record rainfall, 129L / m2, never reached to date. This gives the soil of the vineyard abundant water reserves for the dry summer months. This was hot, interspersed days with falls in temperature, coupled with soil water reserves, results in an optimum vegetative development and abundant harvest vineyard. The vineyard cycle is delayed and the harvest begins on October 13 and lasted until the 24th of that month. Good ripening of the grapes with excellent sugar levels, acidity and color, favoring balanced and fresh tasting.

The fermentation of wine, with indigenous yeasts, starts at low temperature to encourage varietal aromas and finish with temperatures near 30. A third of the production of this breeding malolactic fermentation in new barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

The alcoholic content by volume is 14.5 vol

We recommend serving it between 14°C and 16°C.
