The Paco García Crianza Red Wine 5 Liters from Bodegas Paco García, presents this Red Wine from D.O.Ca La Rioja (Spain) made with the Tempranillo and Garnacha grape varieties.
Breeding
This Paco García Crianza 5 Liter Red Wine is aged in 225 liter French oak barrels for one year and then bottled until it achieves that roundness and balance that characterizes it without losing the fruity and fresh character of Bodegas Paco García.
Vintage
This Paco García Crianza Red Wine 5 Liters is composed of 90% Tempranillo grapes and 10% Garnacha grapes, harvested by hand in 200 kilo boxes from the farms: Paraje 3 Marqueses (1998), Las Canteras (1986) and Santa Ana (1998). The first in the area of the three Marquises of Logroño and the last two in Murillo de Río Leza, already forming the southern limit of the D.O.Ca Rioja. The soils of these vineyards are limestone and sandy clay with a loamy texture and a medium depth.
Elaboration
Once in the winery, the grape grains are separated from the bunch and go to a tank where they will remain there for about 48 hours at a controlled temperature between 5 to 10 degrees. It is then fermented at a low temperature where the detail is maintained by mixing both the skin, the seeds and liquid through a novel disintegration system in which “the hat” is completely submerged in the liquid. This is how more color and aromas are extracted from the variety. The second fermentation or also called malolactic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks.
