Bodegas Sonsierra nació en San Vicente de la Sonsierra, en el corazón de una comarca con unas características únicas para la vid acompañada de ésta hermosa región, al estar bañada por el Ebro y protegida por la Sierra de Cantabria. En Bodegas Sonrierra mantienen una tradición que, durante siglos, ha moldeado el paisaje hasta hacer de la Sonsierra un paraje de singular belleza donde las vides cubren la tierra, y las construcciones tradicionales ligadas al vino como lagares y guardaviñas, salpican los viñedos. La zona es famosa por los suelos pobres en materia orgánica que limitan la producción aumentando la calidad de los racimos. De estructura equilibrada (arenas, limos y arcillas) y ricos en caliza, son perfectos para el Tempranillo, que aquí se comporta de manera especial. Asi elaboran vinos monovarietales que comienzan a hacerse en la viña, en cada una de las cepas, prestando atención a cada detalle y utilizando tanto técnicas tradicionales como los últimos avances tecnológicos para controlar la máxima calidad durante el proceso. Como resultado tenemos vinos perfectos para la crianza con un buen balance de acidez y concentración de aromas y sabores.
