Red Wine Viñas Bastardas

Bodegas Casa Rojo , the Red Wine Bastards of the designation of origin La Ribera del Duero  (Spain), prepared from the various varieties of grapes 100% Monastrell.Distinguished as excellent both in La Ribera del Duero as in the IGP Murcia. In La Ribera del Duero, a soft and rainy winter preceded a temperate spring, promoting rapid vegetative growth. Although the warm and dry summer delayed maturation, the oldest vineyards with deep roots stood out. In Murcia, a rainy winter guaranteed water reserves, counteracting a dry spring and a scorching summer. Despite the advance of the harvest in general, our plots at high altitudes and oriented to the north guaranteed perfect maturation. The origin of the grapes reveals the diversity of our strains. La Tempranillo, from vineyards from 35 to 100 years in Burgos and Valladolid, joins the Monastrell de Viñas Viejas in the picturesque Valle de la Raja, near our winery in Murcia. The art of parenting comes alive in this meticulous process. The Tempranillo experiences fermentation in stainless steel deposits and a raising of at least 12 months in used barrels of French oak. The Monastrell, meanwhile, performs alcoholic fermentation in Fourth French oak of 11,000 liters, followed by an nesting in new 500 -liter barrels. The parenting concludes with a minimum of 12 months in used barrels. Thus, the 2021 vintage materializes in a fusion of climates, strains and processes that culminate in exceptional wines, capturing the unique essence of each region.
