Winemaking and Vineyard
This Red Wine Tagonius Roble 15 is the result of an arduous work where the best grapes are selected from the vineyards of the varieties where this wine comes from: Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Once in the winery, the wine undergoes a high level of technological equipment and quality control. Afterwards, the wine undergoes cold maceration, temperature controlled fermentation and a post-fermentation maceration of 5-12 days depending on the variety. Finally it undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels to obtain the best wood tones in the final cuepro of the wine.
The vineyard is located on the road to Villarejo, where these plots are made up of soil types, cold winters and hot summers which makes a unique setting for the production of these wines.
Tagonius Winery
Bodegas Tagonius was founded in 2000 and is located 45 km from Madrid, in Tielmes de Tajuña, the thirty-five hectares that make up the base of the vineyard and within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid. A curious fact about this area is that it is said that at the time, they were producers of the best wine received by the Royal Court.
