He Viña Vicuana Red Wine, produced by Bilbao Wineries, is an exquisite example of the Spanish wine tradition and a faithful representative of the prestigious Denomination of Origin (DO) Rioja.

Founded in 1901, Bilbao Wineries It is one of the oldest historic wineries in Rioja. Its origin is due to a group of investors from Bilbao who, attracted by the growing fame of the region's wines, decided to settle in the municipality of haro, which is considered the "wine capital" of La Rioja. Since its beginnings, Bilbao Wineries has been a pioneer in the production of high quality wines and has contributed significantly to the development of Rioja as a world-renowned wine region.

He Viña Vicuana Red Wine It is made mainly with two varieties of native Rioja grapes: Tempranillo and Graciano. He Tempranillo, known as the "noble grape" of Spain, provides structure and elegance to the wine, while the Gratian adds an interesting complexity and spicy notes. These varieties thrive in La Rioja's unique climate, characterized by cold winters and hot summers, as well as the moderating influence of the Ebro River, which runs through the region.

The elaboration of the Viña Vicuana Red Wine It is a careful process and respectful of tradition. The harvest is done by hand to ensure that only the highest quality grapes reach the winery. After careful selection, the grapes HE destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors of the grapes.

Once fermentation is complete, the wine is racked to French and American oak barrels, where he undergoes a parenting process. Barrel aging provides elegant notes of vanilla, spices and toast, while softening tannins and giving the wine a rounder texture.

After the aging period in barrels, the Viña Vicuana Red Wine It is bottled and kept in the cellar for an additional time so that it reaches its full splendor before going on the market. The result is an elegant, balanced red wine with a distinctive character that reflects the essence of the DO Rioja and the legacy of Bilbao Wineries.

KNOW Bodegas Bilbaínas
