About the D.O. Historians place Bourg's viticultural vocation around the second century, when the Romans planted "Bituric Vitis", designated as Cabernet's ancestor. From the Middle Ages, Bourg was an important wine port and his vineyard in the estuary expanded to the rhythm of life and river trade.
This particular vineyard is located north of the city of Bourg (Gironde), heart of the A.O.P Côtes de Bourg. The Merlot grape focuses 70% of the production, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with 15% each close the variety. Clay soils of limestone grant the wine their softness and flexibility.
