San Cucufate red wine Monastery from Bodegas San Cobate, belongs to the DO. Ribera del Duero and is made with the grape variety 100% fine red.

Located in Gumiel del Mercado (Burgos) to more than 860 meters altitude. South exposure hillside (1.6 hectares), with north-south plantation orientation. He is a vineyard surrounded and protected by oaks and local vegetation. The soil is clayery clay, very poor due to erosion by the slope, and in the highest area the limestone mother rocates emerges.

Winemaking and upbringing

The elaboration is carried out by carrying out a meticulous selection of the clusters in Viñedo, in the winery they stand out and give a gentle squeal Diaries. Malolactic fermentation is made in those same deposits.

The objective is to obtain wines of great varietal expression that subsequently initiate a raising in barrels of several uses and finally age in wooden deposits of greater volume seeking to get a leisurely breeding that offers us a broad, powerful and intense wine. It was bottled on May 21, 2019.
